What to check when you visit an electric scooter showroom
You will learn more in ten minutes beside a scooter than from any website. Take this list with you.
Sit on it
Check that your feet reach the ground comfortably and that you can hold the scooter steady with both feet down. Try the stand. Turn the handlebar fully each way.
Ask about your own trip
Tell them your daily distance and your roads. Ask which model suits that, and how often you would charge.
Ask about the paperwork
Ask to see the motor rating and speed limit for the exact scooter. Ask whether it needs a licence and registration, and what documents you will receive.
Ask about charging
Ask how it charges at home, how long a full charge takes on that model, and what you would need at your place.
Ask about service
Ask where it is serviced, what the warranty covers and for how long, and how spare parts are handled.
Ask about colours
Colours can vary, so see the colour you want in person where you can.
Ask what is included
Showrooms handle every sale directly, so ask them to set out exactly what is included for the scooter you choose.
